You are not what you eat, you are what you absorb. Are you absorbing your vitamin supplements? Do you know?

You have often heard it said that you are what you eat. While this is true to some extent, it is more correct to say that you are what you absorb. If your digestive system is compromised, if you have issues absorbing nutrients, then it is possible to say that even if you eat well, you may not be absorbing the correct amount of nutrients. How will this affect your health?
The same thing can be said of nutritional supplements. Do you know if you are absorbing your vitamin supplements? Most over the counter store bought supplements have binders, coaters, and fillers that prevent you from properly absorbing any vitamins that they contain. Add to that the fact that it may take hours for your vitamins to be dissolved by stomach acid, which means that you can lose some of the nutrient content in them. At best, you are actually getting a very low amount of nutrient absorption from your vitamins. Whenever I give a talk, I jokingly say that if you get your vitamins from Joe’s Vitamin and Tire Shop, you get what you pay for. With most over the counter vitamins, you are literally flushing them down the toilet, and there is a reason they are referred to as “Bedpan Bullets”. See the X-Ray below for an example.
I have dedicated my career to learning about high quality nutritional supplements that your body can actually absorb and use.
