The month of November brings us the No Shave November cancer benefit to raise awareness of men’s health. For the month of we are urged to not shave and to give the money that we would have spent on shaving and other hair maintenance to cancer charity. According to their website, no-shave.org, this idea began in 2009 with the founders looking for a way to raise money to honey their relatives who have died from cancer. It started with a simple Facebook page. In 2013, they partnered with the American Cancer Society to use the money raised for cancer research, education, and prevention. And by focusing on hair, they celebrate the hair that many cancer patients lose in hopes to getting closer to ending this disease.
What a fantastic idea! If you are so inclined, try this and donate the money to the ACS for this benefit.
To Your Health!
