Stop Eating Crap

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook this week, and I thought it would be a good follow-up to last week’s post about Fed Up the movie.  This graphic pretty much summarizes everything that I have been discussing over the last few years, on this blog and in my public presentations.  So I thought I would summarize some previous blog posts here, literally as food for thought.

Carbonated Drinks – Here is my take on drinking sodas and what they do to you. 

Refined Sugars – As the movie Fed Up describes, sugar is in most of the food we buy and it is leading to the increase of obesity and Type 2 Diabetes in this country.  Click here for an example of how much sugar we eat.

Artificial Food – Too much of what we eat is not real food.  I have said many times here to stay away from man-made molecules.  If your food has a long shelf life, you will have a short shelf life.

Processed Food – As I have stated previously, processed food has many hormones and chemicals in them, and does not allow us to get proper nutrition.  A good way to try to fight this problem is by learning how to read proper food labels.

Bottom line – many of the health issues we are seeing in this country are due to eating CRAP.  We need to read food labels, buy real food, cook for ourselves, and learn more about the food we are putting in our bodies.  As I have said many times, you would not put diesel gas in a Ferrari, so why would you put garbage in your body?

Remember, your health is a choice.  By not eating CRAP, you can make a choice to live a healthier life.
